so, 2 of my friends that i went to BU with had babies this spring too!  one of them had their baby the day after me in the same hospital and the other had her baby just last week.  anyway, we got together yesterday and this is the insanely cute result:

yesterday (26th), ada turned 1 month old!  time flies!  this week she is starting to really focus in on faces and objects:

this is from saturday when we went to salt marsh pottery to get ada's handprints immortalized...

almost a smile!  she doesn't smile at anything yet, but she does smile... and it's hard to get a photo!

apparently turning 3 weeks old is rather upsetting... this photo documents the 1 nanosecond that ada wasn't fussing, cranking or crying today...  we had just gotten back from a nice hour long walk in the 65 degree sunshine around the reservoir.

in other news, we got a new roof last week!  the old roof was at least 20 years old with 2 layers, so we are all updated and not leaking now.  roofers are definitely quite loud but ada didn't seem to care!


we also have some signs of spring around the yard!   these cute, purple flowers show up under our japanese maple each spring.


and these are ada's namesake's irises popping up to enjoy the warm air... 


ada and i have also been enjoying the spring temps by taking some walks around the neighborhood.  the baby bjorn is winning out over the stroller so far in terms of baby happiness.

Today we bathe, tomorrow we conquer!
