jeff finally has a captive audience:

the deck is pretty well done now, with just a couple of finishes touches to go.  jeff did a great job!  a couple of weeks ago we bought deck furniture and we have been enjoying hanging out outside and spying on the neighborhood.  :P


a few weeks ago or so, i had a chance to finally stain the 2 adirondack chairs my dad made for us.  i stained them blue, so that the wood grain wood still be visible.  anyway, i put them on the patio in front of the side garden (which is coming up nicely!) and next to the slider. 


and here are some irises that finally bloomed yesterday!  i had a chance last night to go around weeding and planting a couple of things (thanks jeff!), it was a gorgeous day.  i planted some parsley in a pot on the deck and i also planted the spice bush that my aunt gave me.  i still need to get around to planting the azalea!

she had her first sleep over last night at my parents' house and she did very well.  this is the travel tent that we got from auntie jen, it folds down really small and even has a little mattress.  plus, it zips up so i didn't have to worry about my parents' cat snuggling in next to the baby.  here's the little cutie all asleep in her sleep sac inside the tent:

it's never too soon to start helping with the chores!  here's ada providing assistance in getting the last balusters we needed for the deck from the lumber yard (jeff is sprucing up the old section of the deck).  the lumber yard is only a half mile away and we decided to go green considering the lovely weather today!

ada loves looking at this mobile that we have  hung over her diaper changing area.  she was fascinated by it for a good 40 minutes the other day!  but the real reason i took this photo is because i love this outfit and it is sadly no longer fitting properly.  it seems she is starting to outgrow her newborn sized clothes.

while jen was visiting we took her to plum island which is just off newburyport, ma.  we enjoyed driving through the reserve as we had it mostly to ourselves.

auntie jen was visiting us the last few days.  we had a great time showing her around the area.  her and ada had a great time hanging out!  we have a ton of photos from sightseeing and of ada herself, i'll hopefully get to posting them soon!
