the past weekend was the portuguese feast in new bedford, reportedly the largest portuguese feast in the world. my mom's side is portuguese (from madeira) and we always meet up with them on the sunday of the feast. the feast has rides, games, a parade, bands, etc, etc. it also has an excessive amount of meat along with lots of beer and, more importantly, madeira wine (though when i was a kid, i think the rides and games would have taken precedence!). i've never taken my camera to the feast before, but since it was ada's first feast, i took it along...
